Thanks to Rite Aid, students with Autism are thriving! – Katie Joyner

Quality Services for Autism Community (QSAC), is a New York City nonprofit serving more than 2,400 children and adults with autism, as well as their families, each day. Through our programs, we help individuals with autism gain independence and reach their full potential.

QSAC’s Day School serves students with autism ages 5 – 21. In addition to the full academic curriculum, the school helps students improve their social, communication, and life skills, as well as provides opportunities for community integration.

The generous grant from the Rite Aid Foundation has allowed us to better support our students’ learning through curriculum enhancements, including literacy materials, technology, adaptive recreation equipment, and pre-vocational training. These enhancements help us to tailor activities to the specific needs of each of our students as well as expand their learning opportunities. As a result, students are improving their skills across domains and reaching their individual goals.

QSAC is very grateful for the Rite Aid Foundation’s generosity and their commitment to improving the lives of children with disabilities. Thank you Rite Aid, we couldn’t have achieved so much without your support!!
