Matthew’s Haven Had a Busy Summer! – Catherine Pierce

Matthew’s Haven’s summer is generally quiet up until August when we kick in for our annual Back to School Fair. However, this summer we have been moving more diapers through our Diaper Dootie program. We support individuals and local agencies including clients from Department of Social Services as well as the Healthy Families program and through our own Baby Bundles program.

To date we have distributed more than 3,400 diapers. We also provided assistance to three summer camps supporting children whose lives have been affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. We provided snacks and lunch foods, goodie bags including toiletries, journals, toys and other fun and safety items. We supported a new locality with snacks for their summer feeding program which helps children who receive reduced and free lunch during the school year. More than 2000 snacks were included in the meal kits. And our annual back to school program helped 120 children with school supplies and new undergarment to start their school year off right!

We could not have done it without the help and support from the KidCents program through RITE AID! Thanks for your support!
